The Give Back Program
We strive to embrace the entire soccer family. That’s why we support the first year soccer player with the same enthusiasm as the lifelong recreational or competitive player.
As a company, we are committed to all aspects of the sport and believe that giving back to the communities in which the players live and play is the best way to ensure that the game and youth participation grows in the future.
We choose to give back to the community as a whole, not just professional athletes.
Here’s how our Give Back program works:
For every item of Mazamba® soccer apparel and equipment sold, whether through direct or wholesale channels, Arden Sports, Inc. will donate up to five percent (5%) of the sale proceeds to youth soccer in our country, through each respective State Soccer Association as a restricted donation.*
We track sales on a monthly basis, and send the “Give Back” donations on a semi-annual basis on July 15 and on January 15, respectively.
There is no limit on the amount donated to a State Association. The “Give Back” proceeds are based solely on sales. Donations will be made in accordance with applicable Federal and State laws.
Example of how the Give Back Program works:
Your State Soccer Association signs a contract and makes Mazamba the official apparel and equipment sponsor of your Association, which has 50,000 soccer players. To understand the impact of Mazamba’s “Give Back” Program, we provide a number of scenarios below.
In Scenario A, we assume all of the participants playing soccer in your state purchase $100 worth of gear from Mazamba. As a result, the total dollars spent with Mazamba is $5 million. With the 5% “Give Back” policy, the State will receive $250,000 as a restricted donation to improve the sport through better fields, facilities, training programs and events. Even if each player spends only $20 (perhaps on t-shirts), the State will still receive $50,000 as a result of the “Give Back” policy shown in scenario B. Finally, if only 5,000 players make a $20 purchase, the State will still receive 5% of the total sales or $5,000, as shown in scenario F. Other scenarios are also provided below.
The bottom line is that no matter how much or how little is spent, the State Associations benefit by receiving funds through the “Give Back” Program.
This is another way Mazamba supports soccer at its most fundamental level, the Youth!
